Our Point of View on Red Light Green Light Card Games

Hey, this is Kristi with WTI. Today I wanted to talk to you about my five year old's favorite card game. This is Red Light Green Light 123. So this is a card game that's definitely targeted for preschool age children, but he loves it because it's the first card game that he's really been able to understand and comprehend at such a young age. And he can play it with me so it makes him feel like a big boy, but I'll show you how it works. It's really easy. Okay, so each player is going to be dealt seven cards initially and you have to go in this sequence of Red Light Green Light 123. So if this is player one, I have to start with Red Light. Now I can play multiple Red Lights. You can do more than one card, but then I have to stop because I don't have a Green Light. So then it would go to the next player and the next player has green so they could play Green Light and then they could play one, but they don't have any twos. So then they would have to stop and then it's whoever gets rid of their cards first wins. So really it's a super easy concept for young children. So if you have a little one that is around the preschool age, I do think this is a perfect fit. It's really fun. It's really fast. So which you need when they're preschool age because they don't have long attention spans, but when they're just learning to identify their numbers and stuff, I like it because it is so simple and they can play it and they just love being able to be part of a game that they understand. So if you've got a young one, I would definitely recommend it. That's my point of view.
