Hey, this is Kate with WTI. We love to play Catan. We absolutely adore this game and the original Catan you can play with three to four players but sometimes we have a group of friends, we have more people and as soon as everybody starts seeing how much fun we're having they want to play. So this expansion pack is awesome to go along with your Catan. It's not the game and in and of itself you need to have Catan to use this expansion pack but when you do have that beautiful board game and you want to play with more people this is awesome because it allows for five to six players so it comes with everything you need to expand the original game. It even comes with unique terrain pieces so it really adds to the gameplay. So you can add more players to your game of Catan without having to sacrifice gameplay. It's a very smooth transition and it is just such a fun game to play. Every time we play this with friends even when we teach friends how to play this game for the first time it is just such a blast. That's just my point of view.
