This is a Swiss Mart Borner five piece mandolin slicer and this thing is pretty awesome. I've had this for several years and it is still as sharp as the day that I bought it. And let me tell you, it is very sharp. So this set is really nice because it gives you several cut options and it also provides the safety guard so you can be confident that you're not going to slice your fingers, which is very good. So there are different attachments to the slicer. This is a two sided spacer. So it allows you to have thinner cuts with one side, thicker cuts with the other side. And that is for just a straight slice. If you are looking for a julienne or a french fry cut, then you can add these blades, which allow you to get those perfect and precise cuts. So you have a thinner and a thicker, and then you can pair it with either the wider or narrower spacer. And then you have tons of different options. The blade pieces fit securely into this holder, so you don't have to worry about slicing your hand when you reach for this in the drawer. And it also just keeps everything together and organized. So this mandolin works super well to get those really thin and very precise cuts that you're looking for. I would definitely recommend this for any kitchen. And that's my point of view.
