It has beautiful grooves on the edges to catch all of the juice and it's also completely reversible so if you want that flat side you can just flip it over. The cutting board has carrying handles on the sides which is a great feature because this is a heavy-duty and heavy cutting board so you can easily cut up all of your ingredients and then pick it up by the handles to be able to carry it over. This cutting board is easy to clean and when treated once a month you can see that it really restores the shine every time that you use it and you can really use this for all of your cutting needs in the kitchen. Thanks to that wood surface you can see that it's just a nice safe cutting area so that you don't have extra bacteria in your ingredients but rather you can just clean it really well and then put it away for the next time. I really am so impressed with the beautiful quality of this cutting board. It is that beautiful wood finish that looks so pretty even if you leave it out and above all it just makes such a nice cutting area for everything that you need to do in your kitchen and you can put it away when you're done after cleaning it and feeling good for the next time that you're ready but that's just my point of view.
