Ziruma Butcher Block Cutting Boards

Hey, it's Megan with WTI and are you a home cook? I cook almost every single day and I am so happy to have this gorgeous Ziruma cutting board to help me with all of my food prep. This cutting board is not the kind of cutting board that I want to put away in a cupboard because it is absolutely stunning with its end grain teak wood. I have quite an expensive, very sharp kitchen knife, so I really wanted something that was going to preserve the sharp edge on my knife. Because this cutting board is the real deal and it's quite heavy duty, it can be pretty heavy. So I'm really appreciative of the fact that the ends of the cutting board have these groove handles built in and this makes it really easy to carry and to transport it from room to room. I've had completely flat cutting boards in the past and whenever I cut up meat or shellfish on them, there was a runny mess everywhere. This cutting board has a fairly deep beveled groove that runs along the entire edge, which catches any excess liquid and really minimizes the mess. It comes with wood wax to maintain the board and I have to say that this stuff smells so good. It has this citrusy lemony scent that is so pleasant. It helps to greatly diminish that light colored starkness of cut marks and restore us the look of the board. The large size of my board is awesome. It provides a nice big work area so I can work on prepping multiple ingredients at once. Because this board is so incredibly eye-catching, it makes a beautiful serving surface for charcuterie or dips. It comes clean really quickly and easily and the wax treatment of this board makes it water resistant so it can avoid getting damaged or warped. I've never had a cutting board be so practical while at the same time being a complete showstopper. I can't wait to use it for a long, long time to come. And that's my point of view.
