What I like about this is it's versatile. First of all it's heat resistant so you can use it in your kitchen for a hot plate or your curling iron or flat iron in your bathroom. This is a 16 by 12 inch so it's a large. It's gray so it's neutral for my kitchen. I use it as a drying mat. I keep it next to my sink and every time I wash my coffee cups or something and need to just dry it real quickly I place it on top and these little grooves dry it right away. Helps it to drain and dry. Drip dry. Let me tell you about how easy it is to clean this mat then. I'm not having to worry again about the dish towel and everything that leaves behind but for the drying mat just put it under the water, faucet for about 30 seconds, clean it off and then you're good to go. If it doesn't get everything off that time, throw it in your dishwasher and run it through a cycle with your dishes because it's silicone it can hold up.
