Our Point of View on Little House on the Prairie Book 7

I'm Diana with WTI. I'm sharing with you the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, Little Town on the Prairie. This is book number seven in the set and it's a lovely story that continues sharing the life of the Ingalls family. It is part of the series but you don't have to read it. It is an independent story. You can simply just read this book without having read the prior books or the next books. It's an independent story and it's just lovely. It carries on with Laura Ingalls who is the main character throughout the books and she's now 15 years old. She's received her certificate to teach. So imagine being 15 and you're ready to teach and have a job. She also has a love interest in this book and it really just continues the tale of her adventures and her life and the life of her family and how much hard work it was back then to do daily tasks and just really interesting and a learning experience. I think me and my daughter who's 11 years old who can read these books and it's really just so interesting to see what children did back then, what adults did and how far we've come in terms of modern day conveniences but also to take stock of the simple things in life and how some things have not changed no matter how long the time. For instance, the connection to family and seeing the fruits of your hard work. It's a great story. You can see here the text. Nice medium-sized print, easy to read. Your child would be able to read it and you too your child. It also has the occasional black and white picture. So just in case your little one is still kind of on the cusp of the chapter books, there are a few pictures there to help their imagination along. This is a fantastic story that I think you're going to love and that's my point of view.
