It provides great warmth as well as resistance from the wind. I love the fact that it's basically got full face coverage minus your eyes. It is breathable, lightweight, super adaptable. If you didn't want to have the neck piece up over your mouth you could actually lower it and just wear it as a hat and then pull it up as you need it.
