The mat itself is made with a quality vegan leather and you can see on the bottom it has great materials so that it will not slip at all while you're using it. The mat comes with an extra long cord so you can make sure that you can use it at an outlet that will really work. And to test that out they even included a tester that you can plug right into your outlet and make sure that it has the correct current. The mat also comes with a pen so you can see if oils or debris have built up on your mat that may be interfering with you getting the benefits. The pen itself is purely just for looking at the mat and not for testing for the current. To test for the current and make sure that it's really coming through you can use your own home multimeter and it will show that the currents are working. I really like that the mat is so easy to use in different areas of my home but even just around my house I love being able to put it right under my desk.
