Hi, it's Chris with WTI. Let me take you on a fishing trip of the cottage to show you how effective this citrus shad lure by Strike King really is. Oh, here we have a small pan-fry largemouth bass on the line. This lure is a deep diver with a large curved bill at the front that easily takes it down 10 to 25 feet with very little effort. I prefer to use this lure off a dock in say 10 to 15 feet of water or trolling on the edge of a weed bed so as not to get snagged in the weeds. The swimming motion is so lifelike. It looks just like a fat minnow swimming along in distress. I like that the lure comes in multiple colours, but I have found this bluish green or citrus colour to be most effective. It has a free-floating rattle chamber that emits varying sound frequencies depending on how fast you retrieve the lure. Not a little pike. Oh, did I say it's also great for catching pike? Well, here's one. A small hammer-handled pike seen here could not resist taking this lure in his jaws. I put him back though. Here are four of the larges I kept for supper. This citrus shad is my go-to lure for catching bass, and I'm confident it will be yours too, if you get one.
