I can use it for quilting to measure the size of the boxes. I can also use it to pleat and gather skirts. It's so handy. I can use it for so many different things. That's one of the reasons why I really love it and I keep it around in my sewing room all the time. So I'm going to show you. It has these little diamond notches. That's pretty much where you would place the however why you want to put your buttonholes. You would mark each placement. These little slots is where you can draw in a line with chalk for your buttonholes. It has measurements so if you're using a quarter inch button, half an inch button, three quarter inch button, the size is right there so you can just mark it. It is so handy. So I really love it.
