You can put in instead if you want to use those. Instead of the crank. It's got that backup. Really a great little system. Very rugged looking. It's got a flashlight in the front here. The antenna tucks away just like this. Nice little color. Very compact. Has a little carabiner on the side as well that you can use. So all in all, great little radio. Happy with it.
