Hey, this is Chantel at WTI. If you have a little one that has been showing interest in fly fishing, I highly recommend this minnow rod by Redington. Our son started using it when he was 4 and he still uses it today and he's almost 12, so it's great for all ages. It's a fly rod and reel combo that comes in 4 pieces so it's really easy to put together. It's lightweight and a shorter length so it's an excellent rod for beginners. My son has used this for 7 years and it has held up great. He has caught some big trout with this rod, like this beautiful rainbow. From riding along in a backpack on his dad's back on the river to tying his own flies, it's been awesome to see him enjoy being outdoors and sharing a love for fishing like his dad.
