Hi Elaine with WTI. Why is Quaker at 5 minutes grits? My preferred choice because that's exactly how long it takes me to make my breakfast with Quaker grits. 5 minutes and I am out the door. So here is my preferred choice of grits with an over easy egg. I like my grits not too thick and not too runny. This is one portion size and when I'm done I have the great breakfast that I love grits and egg. Many people use grits with cheese, cheddar cheese. I am a plain grits person. Just a little bit of butter and pepper and I'm on my way. So if you want a breakfast that has 3 grams of protein and low carbs then you want to try Quaker grits. That's just my point of view.
