Our Point of View on Nuvantee Pasta Makers

Hey guys, it's Kate with What Tools Inside and I wanted to share this pasta maker that I recently got. So it's from Nuvantee. It's really nice and a sturdy pasta maker. Now I have never made pasta before in my life. It's something I always wanted to try but I was a little intimidated and I didn't know how hard it would be. So I finally decided to give it a go and I'm so glad I did. It was delicious and so much fun. So this pasta maker comes in two pieces. So this piece sits on the other one. So this one is when you want to cut your pasta. So you can have the spaghetti size or the fettuccine. So we use the fettuccine and then the other side of course is where you would feed your pasta through to get it the right thickness. So it starts on a seven and then you would you pull and you rotate and you adjust the thickness going down and down until you're happy with it. So we went down to a level four. I'm a newbie so I don't know how far to go. It was a little thick once it cooked but I thought it was delicious. It was really great although we could have probably gone down a little bit more. So there was a few things I learned along the way. So this is the crank and it goes in these holes and so you put it here and it slips in and you rotate. Now this doesn't lock in so which is really convenient because you can take it from here to here to here with no adjustments but you have to keep in mind that it's not locked in because I forgot a few times and so I was pulling it out by accident. So but it's really really convenient. It's a nice little feature. It also came with this clamp. So I attached it to a very large cutting board I have but you can also attach it to your countertop or a table or wherever you want to work. So I followed the instructions exactly as they were written. They came with the pasta maker and so I mixed it with flour and eggs and a little water and then I made my dough ball which didn't look as pretty as the pictures but it turned out good anyways. Ran it through the machine quite a few times and then ran it through to have my fettuccine size. And then the pasta that I made was probably the best I've ever made. It was so delicious. I am counting down to lunchtime till I can go and have the leftovers because it was so so good. But one thing I will mention is that you want to make sure that you're really flouring your pasta as you run it through. You don't want it sticking in the machine and when you lay it all out you don't want it sticking to itself either. But overall fantastic date night idea. My husband and I had so much fun. It's nice to just put on music and drink some wine and take your time with this because it is a little time-consuming but it was really worth it. So I highly recommend this little machine. I would pick yourself up when it worked really great. I will do it again and that's my point of view.
