They're great to help a child see visually how much time is left until they start something or until something ends, depending on what you're using them for. I like these timers because first of all, they're so colorful. So they're attractive right away to the eye. Second of all, they come in a number of different intervals. So you have one minute, three minutes, five minutes, 10 minutes, 15 and 30 minutes. So you can use them perhaps a lower number for a child learning to sit still or sit down and read. So maybe we're going to sit down and read for three minutes and we can use our three minute timer and they can watch the sand as it goes down to know how much longer they are sitting to read. Or maybe it's for an older child who's doing homework. Maybe they have to sit down and do their homework for at least 30 minutes. So you can use this beautiful 30 minute timer to help them keep an eye on the time without asking you every 30 seconds, is it time yet or am I done yet? These are wonderful. They're made of a really nice sturdy glass. Each timer is also labeled with the number of minutes for the time, which is really convenient too. So we really like using these timers in our house.
