To me, it looks like what you would find in a shovel full of forest filled dirt. It has nice twigs and branch chips that give good aeration to my plants. I mix one bag of egg quartz in a huge batch of soil to repot my plants. I tend to over water them so another plant mama kindly helped me to see that this course blend would be useful. And it really has helped me properly filter and drain the water in my plants. I'm excited with the results for the plants that I have repotted. They are thriving.
