Hi everyone, my name is Shayna from WTI and you can give your cast iron cookware the proper care that it needs. This Lodge Seasoning Cast Iron Kit comes with all you need to properly take care of your cast iron cookware. It comes with a silicone handle, a scrub brush, a pan scraper, and of course the vegetable oil spray, which is a non-aerosol and doesn't have any additives. Pre-seasoning, I like to make sure that I thoroughly wash and properly wash my cookware and thoroughly dry it. And to season, I like to spray the oil all over my pan. I make sure to get every single nook and cranny. You do not want to miss any spots because seasoning is very important for cast iron skillets. You'll just use a paper towel and really make sure you get every single surface of your cast iron cookware. And after I do that, I like to put it upside down on a baking sheet. In this way, whatever excess oil is on your pan, it will drain onto the mat or the baking sheet. And I like to put it in the oven low and slow for about an hour to really set that oil into the pan. And once it's done and cooled, you are ready to go and your pan is seasoned.
