Transcript
I'm going to introduce you to Laura Ingalls. Yes, this is Little House on the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder and it tells the tale of the Ingalls family in the 1800s. In this first book of about nine books in the full series, but this is the first and it's a standalone book as well. We get introduced to Laura. She's about four or five years old and her family as they live in the Little House in the Big Woods and really it tells about the adventures they have, the dangers they face back in that time and what life was like. I found it so educational and interesting to read with my daughter. It was our bedtime routine and it was a great transition from picture books to chapter books. As you can see here, the print is nice and big so it's easy to read even if you're not reading and you want to take turns reading with your child. They do have the occasional black and white picture so you do have that little visual which my daughter really appreciated. I think you're going to love this story and that's my point of view.
