Hi, I'm Bryn from What Tools Inside and I have here the Lindy Bait Basket. So I don't know how the rest of the world does it but my family has always done the same thing for years. We bring insulated thermoses to keep our minnows in when we go ice fishing and it does the trick but on really cold days the water will freeze over in the bucket and you constantly have to go and make sure that your minnows have enough oxygen and it gets a little bit annoying. So this is the new approach. I think this will do a much better job. It's eight inches across so it should fit in any hole made by an ice auger. There is a foam around the top that will make it float but then also weights on the bottom so that it will keep it from kind of collapsing when it's in the water. So your minnows will stay nice and fresh and more lively and they'll just be happier for a time. So yeah, this lid on top is very secure with the Velcro so obviously you don't want your minnows escaping either. So yeah, it's very durable. It's kind of like a plastic. It's not fabric mesh but very breathable through the whole thing. The bottom, the top, the whole thing is made of this mesh. So I think it'll do a really good job next time we go ice fishing but that's just my point of view.
