Aloha kakahi aka! It's Gina from WTI. Don't you agree that nothing can ruin a fun day in the sun faster than getting a sunburn? I am incredibly stoked that I have this tinted sunscreen from Kokua Sun Care. Having a mineral-based sunscreen that's good for my skin, is reef safe, and is going to absolutely protect me from the sun is so important to me. I've used many other mineral-based sunscreens in the past. Some of them dry out my skin or leave me with a really white cast. This does none of those things. My skin feels moisturized, it isn't dried out, and it just blends in perfectly with my skin tone. It's not greasy, which I love, and it soaks in really fast to your skin. I've used this when I've been paddle boarding, out exercising, it has protected me perfectly. Of course, with any sunscreen you do have to apply every 80 minutes or so, but it is water resistant. Not only does it have zinc in it, but it has Hawaii sourced ingredients like macadamia nut and kukui nut oil that are so moisturizing and soothing to my skin. I love that the owners of Kokua really took the time to formulate a sunscreen that has no chemical sunscreens in it, no phthalates, no parabens, and that has no synthetic fragrances. It does have a very faint natural smell to it just from the ingredients that are included, but it is very pleasing and not overwhelming at all. Just very faint. This is my new favorite tinted sunscreen. If you try it, it's going to become your favorite as well. I highly recommend it, and that's my point of view.
