Transcript
Good morning guys, I'm free to go WTI. You can see my chickens behind me. They are giving their little clucks of delight because I just gave them their favorite treat. Hatortempt makes these black soldier fly larvae. They're dried so they're not gross to stick your hand in and I'm telling you they're completely obsessed with them. Encourages them to come out and start foraging during the day. So this time of year when things aren't as easily accessible to forage, I really like putting these black soldier fly larvae all around the yard underneath some leaves to encourage them to go and forage throughout the yard and look for these treats. I feel like even though chickens aren't the smartest creatures on the earth, it keeps them happy, keeps them entertained and kind of keeps them from pecking each other to death. They're my favorite treat to get them because they have a ton of fat and protein in them. While you wouldn't make this their main source of nutrition, it definitely helps boost what they're not getting from their regular feed. I've always been a big believer that your eggs will taste just as good as whatever you feed your chickens and I love the taste of the eggs when they have plenty of fat and protein in their diet. One thing I can tell you is I'm not going to be running out anytime soon. I love this 10 pound bag. Happy hens, happy eggs, happy mom. Try some hater temps and that's my point of view.
