It's 100% food grade silicone but the handles on this don't get too hot so you're able to take it out without using oven mitts or anything. It's also dishwasher safe which is super handy. If you are looking for the perfect multi-purpose tool for your kitchen, I highly recommend this microwavable steamer. It is so awesome.
