Bulka Banneton Bread Proofing Baskets

Hi, this is Stacey with WTI. I am busy in my kitchen working with this great proofing bowl from Bulka. I really like this bowl because it is not a traditional wicker basket weave like you may be used to, but rather it's made completely of compressed wood. It kind of feels like a really, really hard white cardboard. However, it does not stick to the dough, which is a wonderful feature. I got the one that has the grooves inside so you get that really wonderful traditional looking sourdough bread that's going to come out of the oven. Working with the bowl again has been super easy. All you have to do is I added a little bit of rice flour to make sure that it would completely remain nonstick. Place my dough in there and you can see that the consistency from being able to have the dough rise in this container is really, really working effectively. Once I had to take the dough out, it did not stick at all. There was no scraping, no dough that remained in the bowl. So it's an easy wipe off cleanup. I really like working with this bowl because it is very light, easy to work with and it's been very, very good in giving me a consistently rising dough that makes for a perfect loaf of bread homemade. And that's my point of view.
