New Botanical Painting Book

Hi everyone, it's Heidi with WTI. Whether new to watercoloring or a seasoned artist looking to branch out, new Botanical Painting by Harriet DeWinton does not disappoint. Harriet is an award-winning artist, and she shares her love of flowers in more than 30 projects. She picks the most beautiful flowers to teach. She separates the book into three sections. Flowers, foliage, including my favorite eucalyptus, and decorative botanicals, which includes the cutest houseplants. She is so good about introducing the tools you need, the basic techniques, and how to paint the brushstrokes needed to create the flowers. I started with the first flower, the tulip, and I had so much fun. And I think I was successful. Here it is right by my side. I loved this project, and I look forward to the other project she has in the book. And that's my point of view.
