I have been using this since I was pregnant for my son and I had hives that I would get from heat rashes. This is safe enough that you are able to use because I would always check all my ingredients and everything. This is great like it shows you. Poison Ivy, insect bites, allergic itches, chicken pox. It has a calamine lotion in it. It has a menthol in it as well. So you can see it has that pink coloring like the calamine lotion. You literally put it on wherever it itches. It does not burn. It has a cool, cool feeling to it. It will absorb right in the skin and like all Aveeno products, it is really, really great because it has the oatmeal as well which soothes. This stuff is awesome. One of my go-tos and that is my point of view.
