The basket is a beautiful woven wicker material, but the best part is the beautiful canvas cover and inner lining. Both of them come out so that you can wash them whenever you need to. The canvas is so thick and durable on the top that anytime you have some bread to serve or some rolls, if you place it in this basket, it will stay warm. You know that feeling that you get when you eat dinner, you make beautiful bread rolls, but they start to get cold? That is not going to happen with this basket. The beautiful embroidery on the top looks handmade and inside you can see that it has a deep center. It's 11 inches wide. So you have plenty of room for dinner rolls or your breads. You can easily clean this basket by hand wiping the wicker and the canvas material washes well in the washer. Our family has really been loving using this basket. It keeps the bread fresh with having to use a plastic bag or we can serve fresh bread nice and warm hot from the oven.
