Pictures really don't do it justice. When you see it in person, you're going to be completely blown away. This mirror is surrounded by three rows of capis shells. The ridges of the shells come up as they're laid side by side and it gives you this beautiful 3D look. Plus the shells look different from every angle. So you're getting different colors and opalescence. It's such a luxurious look and this will become the centerpiece of your home. Not only are the different colors and shines stunning, but this is a high quality mirror as well. It's beveled and crystal clear for ultimate clarity in your reflection. A small portion of the frame shows between the shells and the mirror and it's linen and it adds to the overall classiness of this mirror. To hang it, I would recommend that you use anchors. It is on the heavier side. You're probably going to need two people. It has heavy duty hardware on the back so you can be assured when you have it hanging on your wall, it's going to stay in place. I could not be happier with the quality and the uniqueness of this mirror. I think you're going to be just as happy as I am and definitely recommend it and that's my point of view.
