Our Point of View on the Scythe (Arc of a Scythe) Book From Amazon

Hey, I'm Nicole with WTI and I am here to talk to you about Scythe by Neil Shusterman. Now this is, without exaggeration, my all-time favourite book. It's young and dystopian and it shows us a vision of the future where death has been eliminated, or at least death by natural causes. The world has kind of been taken over and is controlled by a benevolent AI ruler called the Thunderhead. And the Thunderhead has appointed these kind of scary figures called Scythes to distribute death in a proper and just manner, according to the whims of this Thunderhead AI. The themes are really fascinating, like technology, how much should we let it influence our lives, mortality, and youth, how important is it? Of course, no YA dystopian story is complete without a slow burn romance, and what I love about the two protagonists is that their love is built on shared values of justice and kindness. It's a really great theme for any story. Of course, the book is also full of suspense and has a very twisty plot that reveals a conspiracy at the end. And this minimalist cover art by one of my personal favourite cover artists makes an amazing addition to any library. You have to read Scythe right now if you haven't already, and that's my point of view.
