Our Point of View on Aftershokz Headphones

Hi, Cheryl here with What Tools Inside. I'm here to talk to you today about my Aftershokz X-Trainer's Bone Conducting Headbones. So I bought these last summer to add music to my daily walks and my bike rides, but I find that I'm often wearing them even in the house when I'm cleaning or cooking because they're so comfortable and I love to be able to listen to music. I can literally jump up and down with these on and they won't move at all and you always have perfect sound. Let me show you how they work. So you wrap them behind your head, over your ear and they just sit on your cheekbone. The sound goes from your cheekbone to your inner ear. Pretty cool. It's really simple to use. It has three buttons. So the middle one is the on, power on, power off and pause button. The front one here is to increase volume. If you hold it, it will go forward one song. This one is to lower your volume and again if you hold it, it will rewind by one song. So it's really, really simple to use. I found that when I had ear buds, they were always falling out and I was always hooking in my wires when I was walking, but no wires with this. It has four gigs of memory. So you can hold about 1200 songs, which is lots. I have never filled mine up. They're also waterproof up to six feet. So obviously you wouldn't go diving with them, but if it starts to rain when you're walking, not a problem. Huge advantage that I found is that you can hear ambient noise. So unlike ear buds that are in and you've got your music loud and you're focused on your walk and all of a sudden a car or motorcycle or a person, it's happened to me with all three things, come up behind you, they startle you because you never heard them coming. Well now you can, you have time to lower your volume, push pause if you want to talk to somebody. So to me that's a huge advantage when I'm walking. It's a safety issue. So they come in and they startle you. In this nice case, a storage case, I use this, I store them in when I'm not using them. It's a nice soft material and it comes to with a charging station. Okay. So it's very simple to use. Simply place it inside. It's not shut and you just plug into the wall. So they're good for it. Once you plug it in, you'll be good for about eight hours, which for me last most of the week, it will tell you in your ear as well that battery high or battery low. So you get a warning so you know when to plug them in again. I like them so much in fact that my husband got a pair right after my sister got a pair too. I love them. I recommend them. And that is my point of view.
