It really helps to retain the length of your hair because it has wonderful fortifying ingredients. I have coarse hair that can tend to break off easily. Since I've been using this, I've definitely noticed a difference with that. I put it in after the shampoo and conditioner and it doesn't weigh my hair down or make it feel globby, gooey filling that some leave-ins do, but rather it helps already start to define the curls and it leaves it soft and manageable.
