Transcript
Hey, I'm Nicole with WTI, and this is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This book is the third and final installment of the young adult dystopian trilogy The Hunger Games, still one of the most popular young adult novel series today. This book takes us back to Katniss' roots and motivations of wanting to save her little sister from all the terror and violence going on in her whole entire country of Panem. But Katniss has kind of accidentally become the symbol of a whole rebellion against the government that she didn't even know about, and also they've captured her really adorable kind of boyfriend, PETA. So that's bad news. She's kind of having a hard time dealing with things. But despite her emotional trauma, Katniss is still really captivating to read about. Unlike some other young adult heroines I could mention, Tris, Katniss actually makes some really good decisions, and she just fights her hardest in this book. She does come away with what I feel is a happy ending. This is a very worthy addition to your library, and I highly recommend that you buy it. That's my point of view.
