Hey everybody, it's Davita with WTI and I'm so excited to share a book with you that has helped me so, so much. This is a book called, Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? This is by Dr. Julie Smith. And I found out about Dr. Julie Smith actually first through Instagram. She has some really, really great videos. She is a well-known clinical psychologist and as soon as I found out she was coming out with this book, I knew I had to get it. So, first of all, I love the title because all the things contained in this book really help you to navigate through difficult situations. It's almost as if you are getting somebody to help you with different mechanisms that you can learn to help you through these difficult situations in life. And that's why the title is just so appropriate. These are things that you wish somebody had told you but you never heard before. So, this book actually goes into all different subjects like how to cope with stress and anxiety, how to see or view grief. There's a section that I really like in here on coping mechanisms, on building up your self-esteem, your self-awareness, self-doubt. These are all themes that I think are good for everybody in different stages of life. One of my favorite sections of this book is actually found in the back and it is the spare tools section. So, you have some diagrams here and these are the spare tools. They're blank so you can fill them in yourself based on what you have learned and the things that you understand and want to work out. This is an amazing book that I found to be so, so helpful. I hope that it can help you too and that is my point of view.
