Transcript
Hi, my name is Stacy with WTI and I'm showing to you today my Pilates Anatomy book. I wanted to give my feedback on the publication. This is the second edition and it's by Rael Essekowitz and Karen Klippender. Rael Essekowitz is the founder of Bazzi Pilates, which is a program that you can learn online or you can take their classes. If you're a Pilates person and you really like to learn the anatomy behind the movement, I would highly recommend this publication. It goes through all of the Pilates moves. It has a brief history of the founder of Pilates, Joseph Pilates, as well as the thought behind it as far as breathing techniques and controlling the spine and the pelvis while you're doing your Pilates movements, as well as many others as you well know. I do like that in every lesson, and I'm going to show you the inside of one, it has a page that gives you the option to personalize your practice and to show you some variations, which I found very helpful because if you're just starting on Pilates or even some experienced people, we can't do all of the movements. So you may find that that's very helpful. In the end part, it also has a couple of workouts, so it gives you some specific moves that you can try in one workout. So I would highly recommend it. And what I really like as well, you can go to the back in the index and find the exercises with page numbers as a reference. So great publication, I would highly recommend it. And if you're, like I said, if you're a Pilates person, I'm sure that you would enjoy reading this book. And that is my point of view.
