Hi, this is Elizabeth with WTI and let me tell you about a great adventure book, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Jester. It is a ton of fun. It is written or demographed for the ages 8 through 12, but really it's a book for everyone. I have only ever read this book as an adult and I absolutely loved it. As you can see the words are bigger but it is a chapter book and there's a ton of fun pictures. The artwork in this book is super cool and really entertaining. There are a ton of play on words and it makes everything really cool that I feel like maybe as if you're reading this when you're younger you might just look at it as a really fun adventure book and then as you get older you start understanding all the different things the author wrote and all these play on words and these puns and these double meanings and then it becomes like a whole different experience reading it as you're older. It all begins when a young boy gets a mysterious box that he has to build a tollbooth and it takes him on a great adventure. As you can see the map it takes him to all these different spots. He meets different people, experiences new things that he has to escape from and solve and it's a lot of fun. This book is great for the whole family. If you're reading it with kids they enjoy a great adventure and as an adult you really enjoy all the things that the writer wrote and the double word play and the great adventure that comes with it. This is a must-read for young and old. Make sure you add it to your bookshelf the Phantom Tollbooth and that's my point of view.
