Because that way they look even prettier and shimmery. They are so comfortable because of the heel. It is pretty thick so it makes it very easy for me to walk on any surface. It has adjustable buckle closure and the outsole is non-slip which is amazing and it's something I'm always looking to have when I'm wearing sandals especially if they're high heels.
