Hi there, I'm Kristi with WTI. If you have a child and you're looking for books to encourage them to read and they love Minecraft, you should check out Minecraft the Island by Max Brooks. So my son is 10, he's in fourth grade. We were trying to find books that would engage him and interest him to get him away from the comic style chapter books because we knew on a reading level he was beyond that. So we ordered this. He absolutely loved it from the moment he picked it up. The story is essentially about this guy who wakes up in a Minecraft style world but he doesn't have any memory. He's not really sure what's going on but what engaged my son is because he was familiar with the game and as the character was learning about this world and experiencing these different things and how to survive, my son could picture it and relate to it because it all associated with what happens in the game. So if you've got a Minecraft lover, you are looking for a great chapter book. I think that they will absolutely love this one. It'll keep them engaged and you'll feel good because they are enjoying reading and that's my point of view.
