I have tried the foam weather stripping and it really hasn't done the trick for me. But this is great. What I do like it also keeps out the little critters in the summer. That's an added protection. It also has a great value for amount of roll you get. I've used it on a few doors. I've used it on the windows. It's really great. Another feature is that you can get it in different colors. So if you have say a door or a window frame that's a different color then you can get in that color and it could be invisible. It looks great and it keeps your house warm. So I think you need this silicone weather stripping. But that's just my point of view.
