Transcript
Hey there, it's Hannah with WTI and this is the book The Dirt Girl by Jodi Dee. I was immediately drawn to this book because I really saw myself in this first illustration here. When I was little, I was known as the dirt girl. I was always playing in the mud and the dirt and I just really love this beautiful illustration right on the front of the cover. But this is such a beautiful little story. It follows a young girl named Zafira and she is just a normal beautiful little girl. But often she's got dirt in her hands and twigs in her hair. And when she goes to school for the first time, it's a very interesting experience for her. But you get to see how she becomes the most popular girl in school and teaches all of the local kids how fun it is to play in the dirt and be a little bit different. It has the most beautiful illustrations throughout it and I think it is an absolutely beautiful story and I think you and your kiddos are going to love it. So grab The Dirt Girl by Jodi Dee. I highly recommend it. That's my point of view.
