Hi there, it's Mackenzie with WTI. I have to share with you one of my favorite books by James Clear, Atomic Habits. This book is incredible for starting new habits, breaking maybe bad habits, but this book is all based around tiny changes that make such a huge impact. One of my favorite parts in this book is when James talks about habit stacking. So this is adding something new to a habit that you've already been doing all along. Let me share with you something on page 73. Many human behaviors follow this cycle. You often decide what to do next based on what you've just finished doing. Going to the bathroom leads to washing and drying your hands, which reminds you that you need to put away the dirty towels in the laundry. So you add laundry detergent to your shopping list and so on. Now, does that sound like you? Cause it totally sounds like me. I snowball all around my house with even just like everyday little jobs. Now I had the privilege of hearing James Clear speak and this book is all sorts of good quotes and good nuggets that you're going to want to keep with you. He also talks about motivation in here, which is huge, but he talks about it as, as in motivation is an overrated thing and actually environment is what is more important. And when I got into this, I thought that motivation is exactly what we needed to continue going, especially with habits. This book is so good. I have read it twice. Now I'm going to get into it for the third time because I want to go back and highlight and post it and all sorts of things. It is so good. You're going to love this book. And that's just my point of view.
