Transcript
Hi, Elaine here with WTI. A beautiful book that is written from the eyes of a young person named Lily. I love that I'm able to see what life was like in the 60s through this young girl's eyes, Lily. I grew up in the 60s but not in the South. So this gave me a very different perspective and I really do love the history of it even though it's kind of sad in some parts. It showed what life was like in the 60s in different parts of America. I do love the strong and empowering woman that surrounded Lily in this book. I do enjoy reading and I really love this book and I know that you will too. But that's my point of view.
