You need something that is going to distract them from doing that and that's easy to put together. I got this cat scratching bed duo from Amazon Basics and it has been so perfect for my little cat, Skully. I love how easy this was to put together. I did it myself in just a few minutes and this is made with really durable material. There's two little bed areas. Now I have to say the middle one my cat has basically been ignoring but it loves the top one. She loves being up high and so this really satisfies that for her. Plus it's nice and soft and comfortable. The bed area on top is nice and big. So this is perfect for my cat as she continues to grow. She's only a few months old right now, but I know that this will be able to accommodate her as she turns into an adult cat. The base is nice and steady. So it doesn't matter how much she plays with it, rough houses with it, it doesn't fall over. I think this is such a great cost-effective cat scratching bed and I think that you're gonna love it too, but that's just my point of view.
